BDSM Scenes And Non-Uniform Restraints

Consensual BDSM play is welcomed and encouraged among Hosts and others at Jimat Pulau. This includes any private spaces, as well as public spaces as long as there is no objection. (And anyone who does object, IC or OOC, must be respected, and the scene discontinued or moved.)

A scene is defined as an interaction between two or more Hosts actively participating. It is of limited, definite duration, and generally not longer than a few hours.

The complete Hospes Lategum uniform, with no additions, is to be worn at all times in the bunker, unless a scene is in progress. Additional restraints may be worn, or clothing (but not the Lategum) removed, for the duration of that scene. This is important because it upholds one of our core principles, that every Host is equal to every other. Aside from making sure that there is no distinction between dominant and submissive, or between BDSM player and not, it also assures that no Host is seen as less than any other - and this includes those who are not as able to easily afford several thousand Lindens of restraint gear.

This also means that, while we have no problems with - indeed, encourage - D/s relationships among our Hosts, the terms that go with it are not to be used outside of a specific scene.

The intent of this is to make a scene the unusual, rather than the usual, and special instead of mundane. It also preserves our foundation of equality.
